Domestic violence takes many people each year and It's ashamed too, because a lot of them could have been stopped too.  Laws needs to be passed to offer the victims more protection than they have now.  Often times the victims do not get the police protection that they need because the laws that already exist are blurred between the lines.  This means that the courts do not feel that a dvo Is needed because of no physical or sexual violence exist. A text message or email Is not enough In their point of view to get a dvo to keep the abuser away. It's not just girls that can be the victim of this too, as sometimes guys will fall prey to this too.  Most of the time a guy will not do anything along calling the police to report It although because of their pride.  Getting back to the point, although more need to be done to see that domestic violence does not claim anyone else.  This blog Is just one of those steps too,  I am hoping that I will be able to place the links In It so that my readers, can go to the links and be able to learn more about this growing problem.  Most of the time domestic violence Is all about control for those that are doing It,  and It's always bad news for the victims too, as they often end up dead If they do not get away from It. For those that do not know what dvo stands for It's short for  domestic violence order and It's supposed to keep the offender away from the victims.  Only thing Is they do not count emails and texts as grounds for assault and this Is where the link below comes Into play at. My friend Alisha Water Is trying to get a bill amended so that It does count email and texts as grounds for a dvo.  This would help to better protect the victim before the offenders have a chance to really hurt or even killed a person.  It could also help to get the person better protection too.  My friend Alisha Water was shot five times by by the guy that was supposed to love her,  and this could have been stopped too If the guy had a dvo on him he would have not been able to buy the gun,  because It would have shown up on the background check that they run on you before buying an gun. She ended up being confined to a wheelchair and have decided to try to get the bill passed so others will be protected In the future from this type of crime.
